Charles Barkley's Blunt 8-Word Request Amidst Continued TNT, NBA Dispute

Charles Barkley seems to believe his colleagues at TNT are on "pins and needles" as the network's television rights dispute with the NBA continues to unfold.

Barkley, who stars on TNT's hit basketball show 'Inside the NBA,' wants parent company Warner Bros. Discovery to be more transparent moving forward.

On Thursday, Barkley chatted with SI's Jimmy Traina and shared one simple request for TNT.

"Just say something. We have not discussed it," Barkley said, via SI . "And I don’t mean for me. The people who work there. They’re the ones on pins and needles. Just say something to let the people be able to breathe a little bit."

Earlier in the interview, Barkley suggested that comments made in 2022 by Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav may have upset NBA Commissioner Adam Silver.

"Secondly, he never should’ve said that [TNT doesn't need the NBA]. Plain and simple,” Barkley said . “I think this is our third negotiations and we’ve always signed during the exclusive window. It’s never come up for bidding.

"Clearly Adam is upset. I’m assuming he’s upset."

TNT's current deal with the NBA is set to expire after the 2024-25 season.
