Guru: I'd rather have Wiggins over Klay

There are monumental decisions looming over the Golden State Warriors this summer, and the status of Klay Thompson is the first major domino set to fall.

If the Warriors aren't willing to match Thompson's price from a team like Orlando, he could walk. But is there an avenue where they would keep Thompson and deal Andrew Wiggins? Wiggins is due $26.28 million next season.

Steiny and Guru discussed the two players Thursday, and the value they provide to the theam.

"I don't necessarily think if Klay Thompson goes to Orlando the Warriors are worse," Matt Steinmetz said. "I don't necessarily believe it. They could be but they have an offseason to address his absence and however many minutes a game he plays."

Daryl "Guru" Johnson then asked who they would rather have on the team, and had a surprising answer.

"I love Klay to death but to be real, it shouldn't even be close," Johnson said. "It should be Andrew Wiggins."

Steiny disagreed.

"My answer actually would be Klay Thompson and it's because I think they're both-- I'm not crazy about either right now," Steinmetz said. "And I was just gonna say if I were GM, I am not sentimental, and I would never be sentimental. However, when I see Wiggins and I see Klay Thompson, I kind of say, six in one, half dozen in the other, may as well keep Klay because he's been here forever. I would lean toward Klay just because he's been a part of the big three and Wiggins is relatively new here compared compared to him.
