Transformers/G.I. Joe Crossover Movie Looks to Sign Chris Hemsworth

There’s going to be a massive Transformers/G.I. Joe crossover movie, and Chris Hemsworth is in talks to headline it.

That’s according to Deadline , who reported on the ambitious Hasbro/Paramount partnership.

Hemsworth is already lending his voice to animated Transformers film Transformers One , which hits theaters September 20, 2024. A team-up between Paramount Animation and Hasbro, it was reportedly “one of the highest-testing Paramount Animation titles ever.”

You can see why the studios want to get back in business with Hemsworth and try for more of the same. In addition, Transformers and G.I. Joe movies are both still huge brands: combined they’ve generated a lifetime gross of $6 billion at the global box office.

The last live-action Transformers film was also massive, with 2023’s Transformers: Rise of the Beasts making $439M.

Hemsworth is currently earning rave reviews as Dementus in Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga , which is out now in cinemas.
