Blochwitz: Widow suffers hardest year of life

I became a widow a year ago and I never knew how hard it is for a person who loves their spouse after 18 years of marriage.
He had lung cancer and went through every treatment there was and still passed away. This has been the hardest year of my life.
I was renting a home in Sun City and didn’t have the money to pay the house rent after he died. He worked for Walmart, so after three months I finally got the money he had held out over 20 years with them, which was not a lot. I paid off our debts and bought a mobile home in a park to live in. I did this within three months of losing him.
I spent most of my days crying when I wasn’t at work. I told God every day this mountain is too hard to climb, but after a year of doing everything on my own, I climbed the mountain. When you lose your spouse, you are alone in this world. Some people are lucky and have friends and family that help them. I literally had no one. It was me and God.
I am in my 70s and this is my first time being alone. It is the worst feeling a person can have. I have my health and I am debt-free thanks to God for helping me.
If you are going through this now, I pray you lean on God. He is there when no one else cares. I had no family, no friends and no one at my church to send a card, call or check on me. No one was concerned. I hope no widow ever had to go through what I did.
I am asking God to send me a Christian man to spend the rest of my life with.
    God bless all the widows.
