  • Traffickers target female homeless addicts staying in shelters because it’s where they are concentrated and the traffickers will always find 2-3 a night that unfortunately get into their cars. On average only one is ever seen again.

It’s the truth… as a recovering addict (7 years continuously) who has experienced homelessness and the predators, I can say that this is happening at an exponential rate… you may poke fun and make jokes like “pay top dollar for that one” or feel like “just don’t do drugs” but these are people… someones daughter, sister, mother or grandmother and no one deserves to be preyed upon, abused or used regardless of addiction or mental illness… we have to start looking at EVERY human as a human… it’s not pretty, but it is reality!

Human trafficking is to say the least sad and unfortunately a fact. It exists in more cities than just Hollywood. It’s every possible city that has the homeless and needy. It saddens me. I don’t know the answer. I just wish it was gone after more vigorously by the law. There a tendency to write off the people as they no name people-no one looks for. I thank God that I am not one of those people. But for the grace of God go I. I’m going to pray for all the no-name people that are taken abused written off not part of society. It exists
