Showers and storms possible this week; temps will stay warm through midweek

Sunday evening starts with scattered showers moving off to the east. As the sun sets, rain chances will wane, but isolated chances will be possible into early Monday morning. Temps will drop into the upper 50s/low 60s tonight, and despite cloudy skies, patchy fog Monday morning is possible across areas that saw showers.
Monday morning will start with an isolated rain chance, but it won’t be a total washout for the morning drive. As we get into the lunchtime/afternoon timeframe, with temps rising into the 70s, isolated rain chances will again be possible with lingering moisture around. Shower chances should wrap up overnight with the loss of daytime heating.
Tuesday morning starts with temps in the 50s and morning commuters should enjoy a fairly dry morning. A mix of sun and clouds will propel those temps into the 80s for the afternoon. Isolated rain chances again are possible during the afternoon/evening timeframe, but most of everyone will stay dry. Any remaining chances wrap up overnight.
Wednesday will be a day to pack the rain jacket as we see another round of showers and storms as our next system approaches. We should enjoy some dry time in the morning, but the midday/afternoon timeframe looks wet with scattered showers/storms with some heavy downpours possible. Our brief dry spell will assist with temps climbing into the 80s.
Thursday keeps our unsettled pattern around with a cold front crossing. The best chances for showers/storms will be in the morning timeframe so watch for wet roadways. By the afternoon, most will catch a break as temps warm up into the 80s. Lingering moisture across the mountains will keep the chance for an isolated shower or two.
Friday will provide us with a fairly dry day. Temps will be in the 50s in the morning, slowly climbing to only the low 70s as we remain under the influence of northwest flow. A low pressure system near the Great Lakes will provide the chance for a lingering shower or two, with the best chances across our eastern mountains.
Saturday will continue to be under the influence of our nearby low pressure system. The chance for rain looks minimal during the morning, becoming more isolated in the afternoon. We should still enjoy plenty of dry time for the start of the weekend, and partly sunny skies will help propel temps into the 70s again.
In your extended forecast, we are still watching the influence of our nearby low pressure system. With it not going anywhere Sunday and the start of Monday, stray to isolated rain chances will continue during this timeframe. A weak high pressure moves in Monday PM through Tuesday, giving us a few breaks before showers return on Wednesday.
