How to wrap a burrito: Fold your tortilla to perfection with this step-by-step guide

Burritos are delicious. The popular stuffed tortilla wrap originates from Mexico but can be easily found and enjoyed at fast food places, local restaurants and food trucks across the United States.
The tortillas that encase the delicious ingredients are like a blank canvas, ready to be painted with an array of flavors and fillings, from meats and beans to french fries to eggs and bacon and more. Some say there’s no wrong way to fill a tortilla. However, there is a wrong way to wrap one. One false move and rice and beans spill everywhere, hands become covered in salsa and guacamole, or you get only one ingredient per bite.
Thankfully, securely wrapping a burrito is easier than you think.

Prepare all your ingredients before assembling your burrito. This will make it faster to put together and prevent the tortilla from cooling down before you’re ready to roll. (More on that later!)
When your fillings are ready, choose a tortilla that’s 12" or larger. Warm the tortilla for a few seconds over a burner, in a dry skillet, or in the microwave. This makes it more pliable and easier to roll with less chance of breaking.
Take the warm tortilla and start adding your ingredients.
If you like guacamole or sour cream, smear it on the inside of the tortilla. As you assemble the burrito, make sure to distribute the ingredients evenly to ensure you get a taste of everything in each bite.
Don't overfill your burrito; instead, leave a clear border of tortilla around your ingredients. This is crucial for a clean, tight wrap!
To properly roll a burrito:
Scoot all the ingredients to one side of the tortilla by folding it in half. Then, open it back up.
Fold in the opposite sides and use them to flatten out the ingredients inside. Leave them folded in but with space between the edges.
Pick up the back of the tortilla and roll the bottom over the fillings. Make sure everything is tucked in. At this point, you should not be able to see any of the filling.
Fold in the corners, finish rolling, and voila!
You can also toast the burrito in a dry skillet to seal it shut and add more texture.
You should be left with a beautifully rolled burrito with secure ends and a uniform shape. If done right, your burrito will be a work of art that looks almost too good to eat...But I did say almost! Enjoy!
