Venom: The Last Dance Trailer Reveals It’s an Alien Invasion Movie

The first trailer for Tom Hardy's Venom: The Last Dance has been released, revealing that the Lethal Protector will be up against monsters from his home world. The third and final film in the trilogy picks up directly from the end of Spider-Man: No Way Home, showing Eddie Brock on the run from authorities.
That's not the least of his problems, as alien monsters from Venom's home world are coming to Earth. It's not mentioned in the trailer, but these aliens are from the planet Klyntar in the comics. It looks like the third Venom film will reveal more about the symbiote's history after teasing its hive-mind connection in the last film's post-credits scene.
The trailer also gives us a glimpse at the new cast additions, which include Rhys Ifans, Chiwetel Ejiofor, and Juno Temple. We even get to see Ted Lasso's Christine Fernandes make an appearance in the trailer, which may give us a significant clue about the film's connection to the MCU.
The second Venom film ended with Eddie being transported to the MCU, and his next appearance showed him sitting at a bar in Marvel's universe. Before being teleported back to his universe, Eddie left behind a piece of the symbiote, much to the bewilderment of the bartender played by Fernandes' character. In the Venom 3 trailer, we see Chiwetel Ejiofor's character examining the symbiote piece, which may be the first real scene in the MCU in a Sony-produced movie.
We also see Stephen Graham's Patrick Mulligan locked up in a facility, clearly bonded with a symbiote from the last film. Perhaps it's time for Toxin to make his appearance in Sony's Marvel universe finally.
Venom: The Last Dance releases in theaters worldwide this October after moving up from its original release date . Sony will follow that up with Kraven the Hunter, releasing during the holiday season.
