Golden Retriever Puppy 'Walks' Husky Older Brother Just Like a Little Human

Having siblings is equal parts figuring out life together, having arguments over the funniest of things, and bossing each other around. As much as no one wants to admit it, there's always one sibling in the relationship who is the bossiest!

For one pair in a video posted on Sunday, June 2nd, the "leader" is clear. While you'd think it would be the older, more vocal sibling, that is absolutely not the case. It seems like the puppy wears the pants:

Blue the Siberian Husky and Mav the Golden Retriever are a classic sibling duo. They're just amazing!

Blue is the oldest of the four fur-siblings here: he's 4, and he has three brothers:

    1. Titan, a 2-year-old Siberian Husky
    2. Storm, a cat whose age isn't disclosed.
    3. Maverick (Mav), a Golden Retriever who's under a year old.

Maverick was sent to his forever home in mid-May, and since then, he's had quite a time adjusting. Blue and Titan are both notorious troublemakers, and Storm is a cat. There's never a day when a cat isn't down to cause some kind of trouble. He's been getting on very well with his brothers, though, and now he walks them himself.

Since Mav is just a puppy, he'll pick up a lot of his older brothers' habits, like howling and running around in the snow whenever he can. Unfortunately for his mom, though, Golden Retrievers certainly don't have very snow-friendly coats, so it'll be fun to see her trying to brush out all the snowballs!

Raising High-Energy Dogs is Not Easy

There are a lot of dog breeds that are considered high-energy, and some are a bit more manageable than others. For example, Yorkies, Dachshunds, and even Boston Terriers are high-energy breeds, but they're small enough that you could pretty easily wrangle them if needed.

Golden Retrievers and Huskies, however, are huge. This family has proven that they can handle all three of their high-energy pups well, and they do so using things like:

    1. Enrichment toys for independent play.
    2. Long walks (where, sometimes, the dogs walk each other...)
    3. A big yard where they can tire themselves out without requiring too much from their mom.

Without a big yard, you'll find yourself frequenting dog parks and seeking out large, open fields where your pups can run free. As fun as a leashed-up walk is, it doesn't provide all the exercise that a dog like Maverick, Titan, or Blue would need. Unfortunately, not having enough exercise can turn these pups from sweet to unmanageable in a second; an under-stimulated dog will become aggressive and destructive quickly. At least maverick, Blue, and Titan always have each other!
