The San Francisco Giants were swept at home by the New York Yankees in pretty pathetic fashion over the weekend. Joe Shasky is fed up. The Giants seemed toothless compared to a booming lineup filled with Aaron Judge, Juan Soto and co.

Shasky was disgusted by the Giants' inability to procure high level talent.

"You know why the Giants are down bad? Because organizationally from top to bottom, they can't see the trees for the forest," Shasky said. "They can't draft. They can't develop. And hence they can't develop their own stars. Other teams don't want to trade with them. And then none of the free agents want to come here. It is a trickle down effect."

He went on to rip into Giants President of Baseball Operations Farhan Zaidi specifically and said his performance has been indefensible. He compared what the Yankees have done to the Giants.

"They sign free agents and they develop their own," Shasky said. "Brian Cashman on his worst year is better than Farhan in his best year and I don't want to hear anyone defend Farhan ever again. The proof is in the pudding. We can't draft. We can't develop. We overpay in free agency. And we're stuck batting Wilmer Flores three in a closeout gotsa have it game against the Yankees. I mean, I'm throwing my pen up in the air because I'm sick to death at how far we've fallen. And don't give me this mirage of the wildcard.. It's been six years. We're thoroughly underwhelmed."
