Every day is a special day to take in all of the happenings around you.  We thought you would enjoy a heads up for what is happening currently and also a trip down memory lane in the world of Country Music.

In 2024, June 3 is bringing you four new singles.

Starting with Ann Wilson's "Songs About Whiskey" from EMI Records Nashville/Capitol Christian Music Group.  Wilson's music often blends elements of worship, country and pop, which creates a unique sound that resonates with a wide audience.

Gavin Adcock is releasing "A Cigarette" with Warner Music Nashville.  Adcock's new slow tempo release blends his country sounds with some modern influences.  Staying true to his music, "A Cigarette" explores themes of love, life and personal growth.

Hunter Lott is releasing "You Had Your Chance".

Finally, The Frontmen are releasing "Beatles and Eagles" from BBR Music Group.  The Frontmen is composed of three notable lead vocalists from successful country bands including Richie McDonald of Lonestar, Larry Stewart of Restless Heart and Tim Rushlow of Little Texas.

Looking back in history brings back memories of a "wilder" time for well-known artist Tim McGraw. Bringing you all the way back to 2000, Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw got in a bit of hot water in Buffalo, New York.  Here's how the story goes.

Chesney wanted to sit on a Mounted Reserve Deputy's horse outside of Ralph Wilson Stadium.  The daughter of the deputy allowed him to do so.  Except, Chesney may have had different plans than he originally disclosed to the girl.  After mounting the horse, he simply rode away ignoring orders from other deputies to stop.  McGraw apparently believed he should aid in the "theft" of the horse and began attacking the deputies that were trying to corral Chesney.

Ultimately, Chesney was charged with disorderly conduct and released on a $100 bond while McGraw faced much more serious charges including second-degree assault, obstructing governmental administration, menacing and resisting arrest.

Other notable news from this day in history includes the 1972 opening of The Opryland USA country music theme park and the 1989 marriage of county music legend Reba McEntire to her manager Marvel Blackstone.
