TRAILER: Alien: Romulus Reveals New Look at Terrifying Xenomorph

The latest trailer for Alien: Romulus has landed, and guess what? It’s completely terrifying.

It offers the best look yet at all of the wonderfully nasty extra-terrestrial threats in the film, including facehuggers, chestbursters, and of course, a towering, acid-blooded adult xenomorph in all its glory.

Directed by horror maestro Fede Álvarez ( Don’t Breathe, Evil Dead ), Alien: Romulus aims to recapture the deep-space terror of the earliest film in the series, 1979’s Alien .

Where the latest one, 2017’s Alien: Covenant , was an uneven and confused slog bogged down by backstory, this standalone prequel doesn’t require you to have done your homework.

The new Alien: Romulus trailer also dropped hand-in-hand with a queasy poster depicting one of the crew members from the film currently attached to a facehugger.

If you don’t want to see an alien lay eggs inside people and then those eggs hatch and another alien bursts through their sternum and attacks, don’t go see Alien: Romulus in theaters August 16.
