Joe Giglio says do not count out J.T. Realmuto for the Hall Of Fame one day.

"I used to worry he was going to fall off because catchers fall off," Giglio said on Wednesday's 94WIP Midday Show at 11:00am. "For the first time last night I started to think, we might be watching a Hall Of Fame catcher. I never thought that about him because I assumed he wasn't going to keep playing at this level into his thirties. But we're now at 33, he's not slowing down. He plays every game. I think there's a real chance that we have a Hall Of Famer player here that we don't really talk about as a Hall Of Famer player."

Last week, Hugh Douglas pointed out he had Realmuto as his No. 5 best athlete in the city right now where most 94WIP hosts and fans did not have him in the top 11.

On March 21st at Spring Training, Realmuto told Douglas and Giglio , "Honestly I wouldn't put a number on it," when asked how long he believes he can play. "I felt as good as I've ever felt. Realistically, I want to play as long as I can, but I want to play as long as can while still being productive."

In Tuesday's 2-1 walkoff win over the Brewers, Realmuto made a great play at the plate to keep the game tied in the 10th inning. That came just a few innings after Realmuto took a nasty foul ball to the junk.

In Monday's win, Realmuto made a ridiculous pick to turn an unlikely 1-2-3 double play.

Realmuto, 33, is in his 11th MLB season. In 2024, he is slashing .266/.310/.422 with eight doubles, one triples, seven home runs and 20 RBI in 49 games.

Defensively, he has committed just two errors and has a .996 fielding percentage. He has thrown out seven of 43 potential base stealers (16-percent), well below his career 33-percent average.

Over his career, Realmuto is a career .272 hitter averaging 22 home runs and 81 RBI per season with a 4.7 WAR. His career WAR is 34.8.

Realmuto is a three-time All-Star, three-time Silver Slugger, two-time Gold Glove winner, and finished 14th and 7th in the respective 2019 and 2022 NL MVP races.
