Man arrested following vehicle pursuit

DEFOREST, Wis. -- The Wisconsin State Patrol arrested a 19-year-old man after a attempted vehicle pursuit Wednesday afternoon.

WSP said a trooper attempted to stop a vehicle for speeding, the man was allegedly going 93 mph in a 70 mph zone. Shortly after the pursuit ended, the vehicle drove off the roadway while negotiating the exit ramp for US-151.

A stop was conducted and the occupants were taken into custody.

The driver was booked into Dane County Jail for eluding, 2nd-degree reckless endangering safety, misdemeanor bail jumping, and a probation violation. Additionally he received citations for speed, operating a motor vehicle without a valid license and absolute sobriety.

The passengers were both cited for underage alcohol violations.
