Today 's Craig Melvin put his broadcasting job on pause to give babysitting a try, taking care of co-anchor Dylan Dreyer 's three young boys in an adorable video fans loved.
The official Instagram account for Today shared a new clip on June 5, writing in the caption, "Babysitter Craig is in the building! #todayshow."
Melvin introduced the video as he sat on the couch with Dreyer's youngest son, Rusty , sitting on his lap while her two other boys, Calvin and Oliver , sat on either side. He said, "I'm Craig Melvin and this is before babysitting Dylan Dreyer's boys." The video follows a popular trend of capturing people before they start a work shift and then again after.
Throughout the video, Melvin horsed around with the kids, made their bed, fed them, and even helped Rusty blow his nose. They also played with kids' drum sets and kicked a soccer ball in the hallway before Melvin read the three kids a book.
Wiping his head, Melvin then told the camera, "This is me after babysitting Dylan's boys." While he looked exhausted, he noted, "You know what, she's got three good boys."
Fans thoroughly enjoyed the video, with some commenting things like, "This needs to be a new show! š," and "Youāre hired ššā¤ļøā¤ļø loved this Craig! š."
Many more commended Melvin on a job well done, while one sweetly wrote, "Thatās awesome that they can be there for each otherās families not just coexist at work šš½š«¶š¼."
Although he seemed to enjoy babysitting Dreyer's three kidsāwhom she shares with husband Brian Fichera āMelvin also has a family of his own. The Today show star shares two kids with wife Lindsay Czarniak , who is also a broadcaster. The couple welcomed their son Delano in 2014, while their daughter Sybil joined the family in 2016.
