Nicolas Cage wore a very colorful suit while on the set of a movie this week.

On Wednesday, the 60-year-old was photographed in Venice Beach, California , wearing an outrageous look.

Nicolas sported a blue shirt with a red, blue and yellow patterned suit jacket. He donned matching pants with blue and red stripes down the front and black dress shoes.

The Moonstruck star had one hand in his pants pocket as he walked on set with a crew behind him.

A second shot showed the Renfield actor filming with costar Scott Haze.

Nicolas had an outfit change for their scene, this time opting for a red and maroon patterned shirt and black slacks. Scott wore a two-piece dark blue suit and a white collared shirt. Nicolas held his hand up as the Child of God alum looked down.

Although the name of the project is being kept under wraps for now, fans can look forward to seeing the National Treasure star take the screen in a live-action Spider-Man Noir series.

As announced at the Amazon Upfront in May, Nicolas is set to star in Noir on Prime Video.

'Expanding the Marvel universe with Noir is a uniquely special opportunity and we are honored to bring this series to our global Prime Video customers,' Vernon Sanders, head of television for Amazon MGM Studios, said in a statement, per Variety . 'The extremely talented Nicolas Cage is an ideal choice for our new superhero and the accomplished producing team with Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, Amy Pascal, and the incredible team at Sony is dedicated to expanding this franchise in the most authentic way.'

The Sony Pictures Television Studios president, Katherine Pope, is also excited to have the celebrity on board.

'We are absolutely thrilled to have Nicolas Cage starring in this series! No one else could bring such pathos, pain, and heart to this singular character,' she said. 'Along with our brilliant producers and partners at Amazon MGM Studios and Prime Video, we couldn’t ask for a better team to explore this reimagining of such an iconic character in Sony’s Universe of Marvel Characters.'

Nicolas is no stranger to the role of Spider-Man, as he previously played Peter Parker in the 2018 animated film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse .

The film earned an Academy Award for Best Animated Feature in 2019.

In February, Nicolas teased what viewers can expect from the series.

'You know what's interesting,' he told Entertainment Tonight at The Saturn Awards, 'is the animated movie got an award tonight and it works on every level. It has the pedigree, it's a critical darling but it's a commercial darling. People love the show. So, I'm proud to be a part of that as well.'

And Nicolas couldn't let the moment pass without giving a shout-out to the fandom.

'Oh my gosh,' he quipped. 'Especially the horror and science-fiction fans. The most loyal fans in the Universe. They are true film enthusiasts. If you are welcomed into their club they will stand by you and they are very discerning.'

Meanwhile, the fanbase had previously heard rumors of this project coming to fruition, and they were right about Nicolas looking forward to picking up this beloved role again.

'It's no secret that I love the character,' he told Collider in March. 'I think the character provides another mashup of sorts. I can provide my favorite Golden Age performances, ie: Robinson, Cagney, Bogart, with a character that is, I guess, wildly considered Stanley's masterpiece.'

The Golden Globe winner added, 'I see it as kind of a foray into a pop art mash-up. Sort of a youngish mash-up by way of Bogart and Cagney.'

The Golden Globe winner reflected on his infamous line in 2004’s National Treasure, in which his character states, 'I’m gonna steal the Declaration of Independence.' Nicolas noted: 'What I really like about that scene just seeing it again for the first time in however many years is I like the positivity of the character.'

However, Nicolas recently reflected on another one of his famous roles throughout his decades-long acting career: 2004’s National Treasure.

After rewatching the scene where his character Benjamin Gates, a treasure hunter and cryptographer, states, 'I’m gonna steal the Declaration of Independence,' the star spoke on his iconic piece of dialogue.

'How do you take something that is so profoundly ridiculous and really try to sell it?' he asked Vanity Fair in 2023. 'I’m gonna steal the Declaration of Independence,'  'What I really like about that scene just seeing it again for the first time in however many years is I like the positivity of the character. He really believes this. He really reveres it. I think that’s charming.'

But Nicolas is well aware of the line's impact over the last 20 years.

'I can’t even say it without laughing,” he continued about the infamous line. 'It has been meme’d so many times. It has been SNL’d. But you can’t help but laugh! I think what makes it work is how serious Justin [Bartha] and I are taking it.'

Nicolas added, 'If you play it for laughs, then it’s screwball comedy and it’s stupid and it’s not my thing. That’s not where I’m at. The fact that we’d played it as dramatic actors makes it even more funny than it might’ve been if it was slapstick.'
