    Man accused of abducting woman in Taylor County held on nearly $1 million bond

    ABILENE, Texas ( KTAB/KRBC ) – A man accused of abducting a woman in Taylor County is being held on a nearly million-dollar bond.

    According to court documents, Juan Carlos Rodriguez allegedly abducted a woman, held her in a place where she was not likely to be found, and exhibited a firearm during the incident.

    In November 2023, a woman reported that Rodriguez and a man she called Aaron entered her home without permission, both carrying guns. She said Rodriguez was there to take a woman who had a child with him and was pregnant.

    In the house, Rodriguez allegedly struck the woman across the face, causing her to fall over the baby carrier as she reached for a diaper bag, and then the three of them left. The man who was with him, called Aaron, was later identified as Curtis Aaron Acy.

    The next day, she and her child were dropped off at a relative’s house while the police department was there. Police remarked that she had swollen eyes and marks on her face. She then told police Rodriguez strangled her and threatened to punch her multiple times in the stomach, causing pregnancy loss.

    Rodriguez was arrested and taken to the Taylor County Jail on two charges of Aggravated Kidnapping (Terrorize), Assault of a Pregnant Person, Aggravated Assault, and Burglary of a Habitation, bonds totaling $950,000.
