When NECA ‘s first action figure of the Feral Predator from the movie Prey finally came out, we called it. It was obvious that if the figure did well, the company would make every possible variation of it that they could. With Comic-Con fast approaching, they’ve just revealed variant 3, following a blood-soaked Target exclusive version for number two.
He’s Got an Edge
Officially dubbed Ultimate Feral “Camo Reveal” Predator, this variant of the wild Yautja is mostly cast in translucent plastic, with fully painted “decloaked” parts around the edges. He includes many of the same accessories as the prior versions, with the addition of a bear trap and a wolf head with bloody spinal cord. (Said wolf head appears to be quite similar to The Thing Dog Creature.) For the mint-in-box collectors, he arrives in exclusive translucent packaging, with a slipcover.
It’s interesting that we’ve had two partly translucent versions of this Predator, and none fully clear. That’ll likely be the next variant. A battle-damaged version with glowing blood seems possible, but would require more heavily resculpted parts. And of course we’re all still waiting for Naru, who looks like a top contender so far to be the first returning primary protagonist in Predator film franchise history.

For those not attending Comic-Con, NECA will have an online sale from June 26-28th at theNECAstore.com . For those who do attend, NECA’s booth, long a lone “cash only” holdout, finally takes cards, and in recent years, they’ve generally had plentiful supplies available. Expect a price tag in the $50 range for this one. There should be a few more items to reveal shortly — something Turtles and something Universal Monsters-related nearly always shows up.
As for our Yautja friend, here are a few more official images from NECA of him doing his very best John Cena imitation, in plastic.
