Berenyi Inc., a Charleston-based industrial and commercial design-build firm, has broken ground on a 30-acre site and will serve as the general contractor for Capital Development Partners’ new Central Port Logistics Center Class A warehouse development project in Savannah, Ga.

Berenyi is moving forward with the construction phase of two 150,000 square foot tilt up warehouses, which are to be erected simultaneously to accommodate an expedited schedule, according to a news release.

“Our collaboration with Capital Development Partners has provided Berenyi the opportunity to share our turnkey services with an audience beyond the Lowcountry and partner with a national developer strategically positioned to make a positive impact on Georgia’s economy,” said Jordan Behringer, Berenyi’s managing partner, in the release. “Our experience in fast-track design-build project delivery will bring benefit to their team to ensure a successful outcome as they further develop the Central Port Logistics Center Industrial Park at Rockingham.”

Capital Development, a national industrial real estate and infrastructure developer with a core focus on US port markets, has contracted Berenyi to manage the design-build process, the release stated. The project will include 300,000 square feet of flex, spec industrial warehouse space spanning a 30-acre parcel that was acquired by CDP in summer 2023. The Class A facilities can be subdivided as low as 30,000 square feet and will be available for occupancy in March 2025.

The Central Port Logistics Center is located within Savannah’s high-speed corridor, with approximately one mile of highway frontage, according to the release.

Coleman Co., Inc is the civil engineer for the project, with BRR Architecture Inc. serving as architect.
