Jason Whitlock: No One Watches the WNBA to See Angel Reese Play Basketball

Watch Jason Whitlock of Blaze TV's Fearless rip Angel Reese for her ‘delusional’ recent remarks appearing to undermine Caitlin Clark’s role in electrifying interest in a previously inert WNBA, as Reese proudly touted to reporters this week that ‘she’ll go down in history’ as one of the main reasons the league became so mainstream this season.

Check out the segment below as Whitlock says no one tunes into women’s basketball to see ‘not that skilled, not that good’ Reese attempt to grab offensive rebounds and put-backs off her own misses.

Angel Reese: “It all started from the National Championship game and I've been dealing with this for two years now. Negative things have probably been said about me, but honestly, I'll take that because look where women's basketball is? People are talking about women's basketball that you never would think be talking about women's basketball. People are pulling up to games, we got celebrities coming to games, sold-out arenas just because of one single game [LSU vs. Iowa 2023 National Championship]. Just looking at that, I'll take that role. I'll take the bad guy role and I'll continue to take that on and be that for my teammates. I know I'll go down to history. I'll look back in 20 years and be like ‘the reason why we \'re watching women's basketball is not just because of one person [Caitlin Clark], it's because of me too, and I want ya’ll to realize that.”

Jason Whitlock: “That's jealousy, envy, and delusion all mixed together. Angel Reese has done a couple of nice things; added some femininity to the way these women dress. Great, no one is tuning in to watch Angel Reese play basketball. She's not that skilled, she's not that good. She's an energy player, she gets rebounds, she gets put-backs, but no one is tuning in to watch Angel Reese. It’s just not happening. She's not Michael Jordan, she's not Magic Johnson, she's not Larry Bird. She's someone that taunted Caitlin Clark on a big stage -- those are the facts.
I went from liking Angel Reese a little bit, to now I don't like Angel Reese. She's just bad news. She's fallen right in line with the rest of the WNBA. She's just an angry feminist. They may get her all the way on-board; she may marry Brittney Griner at some point, who knows. I find Angel Reese completely unlikeable. I was at about 20%, like 'hey, I kind of like Angel Reese' , and I blew past the taunting thing, but now I haven't.
I can't believe they're speaking this stuff out loud, but I think they're speaking this stuff out loud because there's no accountability for Black female feminists. They can say anything and if you criticize it, you're 'racist.' Period, end of story."
