Arrest made in shooting

The Wake County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a man in connection with a shooting that sent one man to the hospital. .

On June 5, investigators charged 45-year-old Alton Ray Duncan with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury, robbery with a dangerous weapon, and conspiracy, according to WCSO.

Duncan is being held at the Wake County Detention Center without bond.

On May 24 around 2:50 a.m., deputies responded to WakeMed in reference to a man who had been shot. The victim had non-life-threatening injuries. He was transported to the hospital in a private vehicle.

Investigators determined that the shooting occurred in the 6800 block of Family Manor Lane.

This is an ongoing investigation, and there is no additional information at this time.
