    County Board passes resolutions

    SHELL LAKE — The Washburn County Board approved a number of resolutions at their meeting Tuesday, May 21.

    The board approved a .28 position for a Veterans Service Office administrative assistant; authorized the jail daily fee to be increased; and approved using the Aging & Disability Resource Center/Aging fund balance to purchase a freezer and ADA-accessible restroom doors for the Washburn County Wellness Center 50+.

    In other action May 21, the board:

    Made chair appointments to various committees.Heard from Supervisors George Cusick and Sandy Johnson on Memorial Day services.Reported on the County Officials Workshop held May 9.Appointed youth representatives to various committees.Gave an update on the Ad Hoc Jail Study Project Committee’s last meeting.Announced the Wisconsin Counties Association’s annual conference for Sept. 22-24 in La Crosse.
