We’ve got great news for Sight Unseen fans north of the border, and potentially great news for Stateside fans of the show.

The drama series starring Dolly Lewis and Daniel Gillies has been renewed for Season 2 by Canada’s CTV, just hours after its freshman finale aired on The CW. A CW rep, however, tells TVLine there is currently no news about the show’s U.S. future.

A co-production with CTV, Sight Unseen stars Lewis as Tess Avery, a top homicide detective who is forced to quit the job after an incident in the field nearly results in her partner, Jake (Gillies), getting killed, while Tess came away clinically blind. Haunted by the cases she left behind and reluctant to accept help, Tess turns to an assistance app to connect with a professional seeing-eye guide who helps her from 3,000 miles away and allows her to pass as sighted. TVLine readers gave Wednesday’s finale an average grade of “A+”; read our recap here .

Also on Thursday, CTV renewed Sullivan’s Crossing for a third season; Season 2 of the Chad Michael Murray-Scott Patterson series will air on The CW Wednesdays this fall , though plans for Season 3 have not been announced.

Meanwhile, The CW’s other Canadian co-production, Wild Cards , was previously picked up for a second season . All American also scored a renewal ( for Season 7 ) this week, but Walker and All American: Homecoming have both been axed at the network.
