    Claim:

Beyoncé played her first, big country music show to a nearly empty stadium.

Labeled Satire ( About this rating? )

On June 5, 2024, a Facebook page called America - Love It Or Leave It published a post claiming Beyoncé played her first big country concert to a nearly empty stadium.

America - Love It Or Leave It (ALIOLI) branded the alleged show "embarrassing," "a disaster," and quoted an anonymous person as saying: "She should have never booked a stadium. She couldn't have filled the local movie theater."

Some people commenting on the post appeared to believe the claim, with one saying, "well deserved," while someone else asked: "What did she expect?"

Another user wrote: "Not surprised. It's not that her music is terrible.. it's just how her and Jay-Z went about it. Stealing music to recreate into their own and paying people off so she can have a show."

However, this item was not a factual recounting of real-life events. It was posted by ALIOLI, a Facebook account that described its output as being satirical in nature, as follows:

A subsidiary of the America's Last Line of Defense network of trollery. Nothing on this page is real.

ALIOLI also labeled its Facebook page as "Satire/parody," and it said the account was run by an individual branded "Busta Troll."

America's Last Line of Defense (ALLOD), which was mentioned by the ALIOLI account, likewise described its content as satirical. Snopes addressed a separate satirical claim by ALLOD in an article published on May 30, 2024.

The satirical claim about the empty Beyoncé concert actually originated from an ALLOD post published on April 11, 2024, which had amassed more than 26,000 interactions at the time of this writing.

Beyoncé released her eighth studio album, "Cowboy Carter," on March 29, 2024. The record was her first full foray into country music.

However, the singer had not released any tour dates for the album at the time of this writing ( archived here ). The last concert for her previous album took place in Kansas City, Missouri, in early October 2023.

Footage from the Kansas City performance showed many fans in the stadium.

Snopes addressed another satirical post by ALIOLI on June 4, 2024, when the page jokingly claimed X owner Elon Musk was suing comedian Kathy Griffin .
