18 kids from West Virginia listed in the National Center Center for Missing & Exploited Children database

GHENT, WV ( WVNS ) — Children go missing every day in the United States, and West Virginia is no exception.
Currently there are 18 kids from West Virginia who are currently listed as missing on the National Center Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) database. The database is home to active missing children cases that remain open. The cases in West Virginia span across 20 years, with cases stretching from 1994 to 2024.
The kids are form locations all across the Mountain State, with their ages ranging from those who would currently be 14 years old to those currently aged 35.
Below is a list of the children from West Virginia who remain listed as missing on the National Center Center for Missing & Exploited Children database. Each child will be listed alongside their photo, an age progression photo (if available) and their last known location and activities.
Victor Dewight Shoemaker
Victor Shoemaker: Victor has been missing since May 1, 1994. From the Kirby area of Hampshire County, he was reportedly last seen playing with other children in a wooded area near Short Mountain, according to NCMEC. After leaving the group, he was never seen again. While Victor would be 35 year old in 2024, the age progressed picture is him as a 32-year-old.
Michael Allen Dillard
Matthew Dillard: Matthew was last seen in the Calvin area of Nicholas County on January 12, 2018. NCMEC states that Michael could still be in the surrounding area or he could have travelled to North Carolina. The database also said that he may be in need of medical attention. Michael would be 21 years old in 2024. The age progression photo is of Michael as an 18-year-old.
Jaydant Akers
Jaydant Akers: The NCMEC database had limited information on Jaydant. He was last seen in the Summersville area on April 4, 2022. According to the database, he would currently be 18 years old and may still be in the surrounding area.
Kenneth Anthony Angle
Kenneth Angle: According to the database, Kenneth was last seen on May 13, 2022, in the Charmco area of Greenbrier County. The database also stated that Kenneth may still be in the area and is going by the name of “Andrew”. He would be 17 years old in 2024.
Alayna Medford
Alayna Medford: Alayna was last seen in the Huntington area on September 21, 2022. Limited information was available for Alayna. She would be 18 years old in 2024.
Jason Xavier Cobb
Jason Cobb: Jason was reported missing from the South Charleston area on December 26, 2022. He would be 17 years old in 2024.
Ray Coleman
Ray Coleman: Ray was last seen in the Matewan area of Mingo County on January 14, 2023. According to the database, Ray may have travelled to Logan County. He would currently be 18 years old.
Ayden Gage Fosbroke
Ayden Fosbroke: Ayden went missing from the South Charleston area on July 8, 2023. He would be 17 years old at the time of publishing. Limited information was available for Ayden.
Keith Barker: While limited information was available for Keith, the database said he was last seen on September 12, 2023, in the Parkersburg area of Wood County. He would be 14 years old in 2024.
Izaak Yates
Izaak Yates: Izaak was last seen in the Bunker Hill area of Berkeley County on February 27, 2024. He would be 16 years old at the time of publishing.
Hayleigh Hartenstein: On March 10, 2024, 59News brought you the story of two missing girls from the Davis Stuart School . While one girl was found, 15-year-old Hayleigh was not. She is five feet six inches tall, weighs 156 pounds, and has dirty blonde hair and brown eyes. She has a rose tattoo on her right arm and a nose piercing. She also has tattoos of a sun on her right ankle and a “2008” on her right thigh. According to the Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Office she was last seen with blonde hair.
Caleb Dingess
Caleb Dingess: Caleb was last seen on March 13, 2024, in the Kenova area of Wayne County. According to the database, Caleb may be using the last name of “Followay”.
Tabitha Casto
Tabitha Casto: Tabitha was reported missing from the Dunbar area of Kanawha County on March 20, 2024. She would currently be 16 years old.
Jayden Elijah Todd Hewlett
Jayden Hewlett: According to the database, Hayden has been missing since April 28, 2024. He was last seen in the Huntington area. Jayden may still be in the surrounding area or he could have travelled into the Fayetteville area of Fayette County.
Jacob Gabriel Smith
Jacob Smith: Jacob was last seen in the Fort Gay area of Wayne County on May 1, 2024. He would be 15 years old at the time of publishing. The database had limited information for Jacob.
Matthew J. Boone
Matthew Boone: According to the NCMEC database, Matthew has been missing since May 5, 2024. It is believed that he may still be in the surrounding area or that he travelled into Huntington. He would be 16 years old.
Tylan J. Harrison
Tylan Harrison: The database has Tylan listed as missing from the Huntington area since May 31, 2024. He would 16 years old at the time of publishing.
