When the term dumpster diving comes to mind, a banana peel, old milk, broken furniture, and other common apartment complex trash comes to mind. But that's not always the case.

Dumpster diving has become quite the fad in states where it's legal. Such a fad that there have been documentaries and t.v. series themed after the adventure. One woman often dumpster dives behind trendy cosmetic department stores, finding full-sized products that are nearly full or have never been opened. One man was able to get an entirely new wardrobe made up of discarded clothes with the tags still attached

As the popular saying goes “one man's trash is another man's treasure” or in the dumpster diving case “one store's throw out is another man's take home”. This is exactly what happened toi one woman who scored huge in a TJMaxx dumpster, check it out below!

From blankets, sheets, picture frames, and more, this woman scored huge and the products were in top-notch condition, without a scuff, stain, or rip in them!

    Best Places to Dumpster Dive

Before you take our advice, please note that in many states and cities dumpster diving is deemed illegal. You assume all risks that are associated with dumpster diving. We are not writing this as advice but as commentary for an article.

Big box craft stores. Think Joann’s or Micheals, both of which constantly stock seasonal goodies that end up in the dumpster after the season or holiday has passed. The store doesn’t sell food so its likely that nothing too gross will be hanging in the dumpster with you!

Homegoods and other discounted home furnishing stores make for great dumper diving scores. They often have to make room on their overcrowded shelves when new inventory comes in, which honestly is quite frequent. You may get lucky and score some cute pictures, dish towels, or even some unscathed pillows!
