The 41-year-old Oscar nominee and her spouse, Brandon Frankel, welcomed twins in early April: a girl named Maya and a boy named Cooper.

In February, Sidibe made her pregnancy public. The co-host of Prank Panel shared several pictures of herself, Frankel, and her growing baby bump on her Instagram page. Frankel placed his hand on Sidibe’s growing baby bump in one photo. In another, the content couple was seen pushing their double-duty strollers.

In a heartwarming journey that began in November 2020, the 37-year-old Antebellum star took to Instagram to share the exciting news. In the video, Brandon joyfully announced, ‘I put a ring on it!’ marking the start of their beautiful journey towards marriage.

“My BFF proposed, and now I get to hold him forever. The funniest man I’ve ever met. The sweetest human to exist… I’ve learned so much about myself through him, and I feel grateful and excited to learn more about the entire world with him by my side. My partner, my best friend, my cats’ daddy, my man, my heart, my fiancé!!!” Sidibe shared with her fans.

Now, Gabourey Sidibe is officially a mom!

“Brandon always wanted to name a son Cooper, so we can call him ‘Coop,’ and Maya was named shortly before our baby moon to the Mayan Riviera in Mexico,” Sidibe told the media blog. “Both twins have traditional West African middle names after members of my family.”
