ZEBULON, N.C. (WNCN) — A woman who was labeled as missing and endangered was found alive Thursday after almost two weeks of searching, the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office told CBS 17.

The North Carolina Center for Missing Persons had previously issued a Missing Endangered Alert for 75-year-old Gwen Ray Bunn after she was last seen May 24. It said she was believed to be suffering from a cognitive impairment.

According to deputies, a farmer called the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office Thursday after finding Bunn’s car in his field near the intersection of Brantlytown Road and Pearces Road.

Deputies said they sent out K-9s in the area and found Bunn in a wooded area, still alive.

Bunn was taken to a hospital and her current condition is unknown, according to the sheriff’s office.

CBS 17 is working to get more information. Check back for updates.
