Laura Ingraham Rips Republicans for Asking for More Money for the ‘Woke Military’

Fox News’ Laura Ingraham expressed her outrage over congressional Republicans’ advocacy for more defense spending on Thursday night during a segment in which she excoriated America’s “woke military.”

After playing a clip of President Joe Biden pledging the United States’ continued support for Ukraine in its defensive war against Russia, Ingraham inveighed against the “war talk” and blasted “Republicans on the Hill” for providing “virtually zero pushback” to Biden’s objectives.

“In fact, and perhaps not coincidentally, key Republicans are pushing for more U.S. military spending,” continued Ingraham. “Someone we rarely hear from. Mississippi Senator Roger Wicker is spearheading a 5% push of U.S. GDP at the Pentagon. Well, that’s a big increase in U.S. military spending. And like clockwork, Mitch McConnell jumped on board today in a New York Times op-ed piece , writing that he was ‘encouraged by the plan laid out last week by my friend Roger Wicker.'”

Ingraham proceeded to speculate that McConnell also “probably wrote” Wicker’s op-ed and read from McConnell’s piece in support of Wicker’s proposal .

“Wow. More spending, international order at a time where our own border is wide open. America must be flush with cash! How did I miss this? Overnight, our multi-trillion dollar deficit debt at $34 trillion must have all disappeared,” added Ingraham sarcastically. “And by the way, exactly what would our tax dollars and borrowed money be paying for under this current leadership? Because all manner of woke insanity, even our Navy SEALs, our most elite military special ops teams aren’t immune. Check out their Facebook page. The word pride, which was the hallmark of military service, now co-opted by the far left.”

“This is appalling,” she concluded. “The only banners that should be showcased by the military is the United States flag, and the respective flags of the armed forces.”
