Thrift stores, Goodwill included, are stacked with hidden treasures. The thrifting corner of the internet is full of people finding surprising items at their local thrift shops. Video after video shows lucky people heading to their local Goodwill only to find designer items for super cheap. For example, a recent video of a woman, Emmali Osterhoudt , just went viral when she found a $6,000 Galia Lahav dress for only $25.

While we may not all be lucky enough to score a wedding dress worth thousands of dollars, plenty of treasures remain. In fact, one woman just shared a video of herself finding money while flipping through a children's book at her local shop.

Thrifting gods, I've seen what you've done for others! With a little luck and a good eye, you can find treasures of your very own while thrifting.

    Woman Finds Hidden Treasure

In a recent video from @ mytranquility_ , she shows her followers the hidden treasure she found in a book she was flipping through at her local Goodwill. As she was walking through the book aisle she found an " Angelina Ballerina " book that was similar to the one she read as a child. She started taking a video to capture how sad it was that someone gave this book away when a $20 bill spilled out of the pages. What a pleasant surprise!

    Spotting High-Value Items

While we might not all be lucky enough to find actual cash while thrifting, there are a few tips when it comes to shopping for items with value. Some people are so good at it that they've even made a living selling the items at other retailers! When searching for items that have resell value, opt for name brands. While some vintage pieces will catch the attention of thrifters, name brands will grab a larger online audience.  Also, items that are unique or that look designer are almost guaranteed to be worth more money. Think strange art, brightly colored vases , etc.

Part of the fun of thrifting is you never know what you're going to find! While you might have an idea what you're shopping for, sometimes the items pick you. The next time you're thrifting, keep an eye out for hidden gems .
