MARQUETTE, Mich. (WJMN) — The creators of the popular “antique-picking” documentary series could be looking for forgotten relics this summer in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.

The announcement from the show came on Monday, saying the show is planning to tour through Ohio and Michigan in August.

“The pickers are coming through your state this AUGUST,” read the post, “and are looking for the rarest, junkiest, and best collections in the area! If you or anyone you know has a collection, don’t wait ’til it’s too late!”

The Dickinson County Chamber of Commerce echoed the call, encouraging people in the area to reach out to the pickers.

“The hit show follows skilled pickers in the business, as they hunt for America’s most valuable antiques,” said a spokesperson for the chamber. “They are always excited to find historically significant or rare items, in addition to unforgettable characters and their collections.”

In 2012, the show aired an Upper Peninsula-set episode called “Woody Wood Picker,” where the crew explored Woody’s 80-acre property that held a Finnish sauna, art gallery and antique-packed 100-year-old barn.

We’re told the show does not pick from stores or anyplace open to the public, but anyone with an object or collection they are interested in showing the pickers, you can send their name, phone number, location, and description of the collection with photos to americanpickers@cineflix.com or call/text (646) 493-2184.
