From televisions to cleaning supplies, you can find a lot of budget-honoring discounts on everyday goods. Even those things that aren’t currently on sale are still often reasonably priced at this warehouse club.
Ready to stock up for the second half of 2024? Here are some of the best items to get at Costco right now to save money.
Smart TVs can easily cost $500 to $700 or even more, but you can save money on these electronics at Costco even when they’re not on sale. Right now, this LG 65″ Class — UT8000 Series smart TV costs under $500 and will fit right into any entertainment or living room you’ve got.
It offers crisp 3840 by 2160 screen resolution and has a 60 hertz refresh rate. It also comes with three HDMI inputs, two USB ports and one digital optical audio input. As a smart TV, it’s also compatible with an array of services, including Alexa, Google Assistant and Apple AirPlay 2.
If that’s not enough incentive, this particular TV comes with a three-year warranty. You can also opt for the $30 installation fee — ideal if you don’t want to worry about lugging it about or dropping it while putting it up on the wall.
If you’re looking for a healthy snack this summer, Costco’s got a lot to choose from. These organic pumpkin seeds make the list because Catherine Rall, frequent Costco shopper and registered dietician at Happy V , recommended them.
These pumpkin seeds are USDA organic, vegan, kosher and gluten-free. They’re also a good source of zinc, phosphorus, magnesium and copper.
“Pumpkin seeds are an ideal source of plenty of essential vitamins and minerals, but they aren’t always easy to digest — unless they’re sprouted first,” Rall said.
“The only issue with this is that sprouting the seeds lowers their shelf life and increases their production costs, meaning it’s hard to find them affordably,” she said. “This is one of the great things about shopping at Costco; you can find great deals on especially healthy foods.”
Now’s a good time to buy those last-minute summer essentials like grills and other outdoor items.
“As the year draws close, Costco often slashes prices on seasonal items, including BBQ grills, garden furniture and swimwear,” said Alex Zaman, founder of Costcoverdict.com . “This is a perfect time to stock up for next year’s needs and save significant money.”
For example, this Kirkland Signature six-burner gas grill costs $899.99 online and has overall good reviews. Delivery is included and you can return it within 90 days for a full refund if you’re not satisfied with your purchase.
You might be able to find cheaper options at other stores, like Home Depot, but you could also just as easily end up spending well over $1,000.
Costco is the place to go for bulk purchases, especially those that don’t have an expiration date — or at least have an extremely long shelf life. This includes things like dish soap, laundry detergent and toilet paper as these items tend to have a lower per-unit price when bought in bulk, Zaman said.
One such item that’s worth picking up right now is the warehouse club’s very own Kirkland Signature brand of liquid laundry detergent. It comes in a 194-fluid-ounce container and is enough for 146 loads of laundry. It’s just what any busy household needs with summer fun, beach days, outdoor picnics and lots of laundry to do.
Sectionals are expensive at the best of times, but you can find great deals on furniture at Costco. This Thomasville Rockford modular sectional comes with six pieces — including two powered footrests and an ottoman that provides extra storage space — and is both simple and modern enough to fit into many homes.
Considering it’s currently on sale for about $400 below listing price, it’s a great deal. And with regular care and use, it can last for years to come.
Who said you need to spend a ton of money to eat healthy?
Like raw pasta and other grains, organic quinoa is another healthy pantry essential. This particular bag is 4.5 pounds and will last a long time — perfect for when you need a simple base for your family lunches or dinners.

Quinoa is also a staple in things like quinoa salads, protein-based dishes and specialty bowls. Plus, it’s not too heavy, making it ideal for hot summer days.

Depending on which you choose, you could save closer to $150. You can then use this money for other Costco purchases to start out the second half of 2024 or you could save it for a rainy day.
