Deadly Shooting in Midtown Reno

The Reno Police Department reported a deadly shooting in Midtown Reno early Saturday morning. The shots the police were called out to were reported at 2:40 a.m. and believed to be gang-related.

The RPD was called to the scene around S. Virginia and Thomas St. where they found a man shot. He died at the hospital.

The name of the victim has not been released and no further information has been given by the police about the suspect. However, the RPD Gang Unit has taken over the investigation and authorities say there is no danger to the public.
