    A potent thunderstorm was detected by Doppler radar at 6:11 PM CDT near New West Greene, located approximately 12 miles south of Aliceville, and is advancing eastward at a speed of 10 mph. The storm poses a threat with wind gusts that could reach 40 mph. These gusts have the potential to cause damage by bringing down tree branches and tossing around items that are not securely fastened. The areas that might be affected include Panola, West Greene, New West Greene, Warsaw, Pleasant Ridge, and New Mount Hebron.
