Local wine shop hosts first ever uptown Shelby wine walk

Want to sip wine, enjoy a stroll around uptown Shelby and shop at local boutiques and businesses?

The Wine Collective NC is hosting Shelby's first ever wine walk from 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday in uptown Shelby.

Experience the charm of Uptown Shelby like never before with the exclusive Wine Walk. Get ready for an evening filled with delightful sips, vibrant ambiance and the warm embrace of community.

The Wine Walk will begin at Wine Collective located at 5 N. Lafayette St. There you will pick up your wine glass, map, tickets and will be guided on the places participating in the event.

Here's what to expect:

• Participants will have an opportunity to shop at 10 partnering stores in uptown Shelby with each one offering a distinctive selection of wines to sample. From cozy boutiques to eclectic galleries, there's something for everyone to enjoy.
• There will be over 20 wines to taste. Savor the rich flavors and aromas of over 20 carefully sommelier curated wines from around the world. Whether you're a seasoned wine enthusiast or just starting your journey, there's a perfect pour waiting for you at every stop.
• Indulge your palate with delectable light appetizers offered at each location by Perry Culinary Services. Elevate your tasting experience with perfectly paired bites that complement the exquisite flavors of the wines.
• Enjoy a little retail therapy along the way with special discounts and offers from participating stores. Discover hidden gems, unique finds and one-of-a-kind treasures while enjoying fantastic savings.
• Purchase tickets in advance to secure your spot for the event. There will be no ticket sales the day of the wine walk. Included in the event is one souvenir wine glass, light appetizers at each stop, 20 tasting tickets, walking map wristband. There are no refunds. All sales are final. Participants may be given credit for the next wine walk offered in the fall if they can't attend.
