Cynthia Bailey’s Advice for Porsha Williams as She Navigates Divorce

Unfortunately, Cynthia Bailey knows a thing or two about the end of a marriage. On Real Housewives of Atlanta , we watched her get married twice. Both times, things ended in a divorce. Now that her RHOA costar Porsha Williams is navigating her second divorce, Cynthia has apparently been a nice source of support.

Of course, we know that Cynthia and Porsha haven’t always been close. We all remember what happened on that boat when Cynthia had to defend herself with a karate kick. These days, the two of them are back on good terms, and since they’re both returning for RHOA Season 16, they’ve been bonding over the highs and lows of pulling the plug on a marriage.

Two Housewives, four divorces

Cynthia opened up to Page Six about her connection with Porsha in Season 16. Although Cynthia is only returning in a friend role , she said she’s been a full-time source of support for Porsha when it comes to navigating the divorce from Simon Guobadia .

“I’ve been divorced twice, so I know a little bit about it,” Cynthia admitted “I’ve just mostly been giving her positive energy. Just to focus on herself.”

That’s easier said than done. It’s a little bit difficult for Porsha to focus on herself. She and Simon have been in a legal back-and-forth over whether or not their prenup should be enforced. Plus, he threatened the RHOA producers with a lawsuit if they tried filming inside of their marital home.

Cameras are rolling for Season 16 , yet Porsha still can’t film in her house. Regardless, Cynthia said she felt hopeful that her RHOA costar could move on from this mess. We can all agree that Porsha will get her groove back in no time.

“I’m a lover of love; she’s a lover of love. She moves fast; I move fast. We just jump right in,” Cynthia explained.

She added, “But at the end of the day if it’s not working, I think everyone deserves another chance to find their person.”
