Charges have been dismissed in the cold case death of a child in the Low Country.

In 1989, 5 year old Justin Lee Turner was found dead inside a camper on his family's property. Back in January of this year, the boy's parents Victor Turner and Megan Renee Turner, (formerly known as Pamela Turner) were arrested at their home in Laurens County and were extradited back to Berkeley County to face murder charges.

This past Friday, Judge Roger Young dismissed the charges due to the lack of physical evidence and age of the case. The Turners claimed a theory in motions to dismiss, that serial killer Richard Mark Enovitz was in the area at the time and had the opportunity to kill their son.

The 5 year old went missing on March 3rd of 1989, after a two day search Victor Turner found the boy dead. A camera man from WBCD TV in Charleston was on the scene and captured moment when the five year old's body was discovered.
