A Rice Lake man will be spending time in prison for burglary and bail jumping.

Tommy L. Robinson, 51, had pleaded guilty to felony burglary on Aug. 9 in Barron County Circuit Court while possessing a firearm by out-of-state felon charge was dismissed and read into the record. In a separate case he pleaded guilty to felony bail jumping, and misdemeanor charges of criminal trespass to dwelling and disorderly conduct were dismissed but read into the record.

Judge J.M. Bitney sentenced Robinson on Friday to 10 years, with five to be served in prison and five on extended supervision, on the burglary charge. The defendant also received a five-year sentence, with three years behind bars followed by two years of supervision, on the bail jumping count. The sentences are to be served concurrently.

As conditions of supervision Robinson must maintain absolute sobriety and may not possess firearms.

A case in which Robinson is accused of battery by prisoners remains on the court docket as no plea arrangement has been reached.
