    Motorcyclist killed in crash in Montgomery County identified

    MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. ( DC News Now ) — On Monday, Montgomery County police identified the man who died after a motorcycle crash on FDA Boulevard on Saturday.

    Montgomery County Department of Police (MCPD) officers responded to the intersection of FDA Boulevard and Cherry Hill Road just after 1 a.m. on Saturday for a crash involving one car.

    MCPD said that the motorcyclist, 23-year-old Angel Eduardo Avila Lopez of Rockville, was headed east on FDA Boulevard toward Cherry Hill Road when he hit a curb and a traffic light support pole. Police said Lopez was ejected from his motorcycle.

    Responders took him to the hospital, where he died.

    Police were still working to determine what led to the crash and how the motorcycle hit the curb. Anyone with any information should call (240) 773-6620.
