Anno 117: Pax Romana Had A Funny Teaser At Ubisoft Forward

A sneak peek of Anno 117: Pax Romana was unveiled with a funny live-action teaser, followed by a short unveiling of the upcoming game.

For the fans of the Anno games, a new one is coming soon—highlighting the Roman empire. Ubisoft Forward 2024 revealed Anno 117: Pax Romana through a funny live-action teaser video first, fitting for those who dream of being the best emperor in all of history. Some of the studio executives came out to present the small details they had available, primarily that it would be coming to PC and consoles in 2025.

The funny Anno 117: Pax Romana live-action teaser showed an older man dressed in traditional Roman garb yelling at a field near a cliff by the seaside. He was giving off an inspirational speech about building the greatest empire. It was funny because he was just giving a speech to a field of sheep. This was a great introduction to the game.

Then, the creative director Manuel Reinher and brand director Haye Anderson came out and offered a small glimpse as what is to come for this iteration of Anno. All they could say was how the player would be taking a journey in the year of 117 Pax Romana, where the game will offer the Roman RTS gameplay like no other. The coolest part of their reveal was that the player has the choice to choose their starting area: between the outer lands of Rome and the inner city of Rome near the empire.

Unfortunately, they could not reveal anything else. But hopefully Anno fans will be excited to hear that a new game is coming next year. Will it be a good rival to Civilization VII , potentially.
