Horrifying Dubai yacht accident leaves woman, 20, fighting for her life with 'lacerations to her liver'

A young woman from Carlow, Ireland has been seriously injured in Dubai after a two-story fall from a yacht.

Tasha Keane, who is in her early 20s, was immediately taken to a hospital in Dubai following the accident on Sunday. She suffered a "severe head injury and lacerations to her liver".

Tasha has been residing and working in the UAE.

Her sister Roisin shared that Tasha is "fighting hard to recover. She is currently being monitored. Tasha is a strong and vibrant person. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers."

Roisin also revealed: "Medical bills have soared to €10,000 and are expected to climb further and with your support, we believe she can overcome this challenging time. Our family is doing everything we can, but we need your help to ensure Tasha gets the care she needs.", reports the Irish Mirror .

The family is seeking donations to assist with Tasha's medical costs in Dubai.

The Department of Foreign Affairs has stated it is "aware of the accident" and stands ready to offer consular assistance if needed.
