KENT NARROWS – The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration is making emergency bridge joint repairs on the eastbound US 50 bridge over Kent Narrows in Queen Anne’s County today. Crews will work today only 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. To safely perform the repairs, there will be a double left-lane closure during work hours.

Drivers are encouraged to build in additional commuting time if heading toward the Eastern Shore until the repairs are complete later this afternoon. Crews may need to return later this week with an off-peak single-lane closure to complete any additional repairs during the same work hours.

The State Highway Administration works hard to maintain safe traffic mobility in work zones for crews and customers. Drivers should stay alert, focus on driving, and look for reduced speed limits as well as other traffic pattern changes.
