PRINCE EDWARD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Central Virginia Electric Cooperative (CVEC) members will see an increase in bill rates starting June 12.

According to the cooperative, average residential bills will increase by approximately $8.48 per month to help with rising costs associated with providing electric service.

A release from CVEC said two main factors have caused the rate increase — high power costs and transmission line upgrades.

For more information about the rate increase, visit CVEC’s website . For answers to questions about the rate increase, contact the CVEC member services team at 800-367-2832 or email them at information@mycvec.com .
