(Guthrie Center, IA) – The Guthrie County Board of Supervisors met on Tuesday to discuss health updates alongside multiple agreements and courses of action in the county. Health Services Director Jotham Arber updated the board on their actions to help Greenfield while bringing in multiple resources to the community. He also discussed their agreement with Audubon County for the Home Health and Public Health Services. Guthrie County Auditor Dani Fink gave us an insight into what was discussed in this agreement.

In other news, the Fiscal Year 2024-25 budget was appropriated by 50% to every department in Guthrie County except for the Sheriff’s Department which received 25%.

Fink also discussed the approval with the Heart of Iowa Mental Health Region and their agreement with Southern Hills for the 28E agreement that was approved. They also discussed how they’ll move forward with the land donation that is owned by Norma Stetzel. The land is currently being farmed and the board will identify who is farming the land and the course of action they’ll take with the small parcel of land.

The board will meet next Tuesday, June 18th at 9:00 a.m.
