Sasha Obama Turned 23, And Barack And Michelle Obama Shared New, Rare Photos Of Her

On the occasion of her 23rd birthday, Michelle and Barack Obama honored their youngest daughter Sasha Obama. As part of the celebration, Sasha’s parents shared rare photos of her on their Instagram accounts on June 10.

As the former FLOTUS shared in her post , she and Sasha are seen embracing on what appears to be a rooftop balcony. In the photo, Michelle wore an all-black ensemble, and Sasha donned a multicolored dress with rainbow pumps.

“Happy birthday, Sasha! You make me so incredibly proud,” she wrote in the caption . “Hope this year brings you everything you want and more. Love you. 💕.”

A throwback picture of Sasha from when she was a kid was posted by Former President Barack Obama. Celebrating his youngest daughter, the snap shows little Sasha laying on her dad while out on the grass.

“Happy birthday, Sasha! It’s been such a joy to watch you make your own way in the world…and you’re just getting started!” Barack captioned his post .

The 21-year-old officially became a college graduate in May 2023 from USC . She attended the University of Michigan as a freshman in 2019 before transferring to USC. Sasha has a sociology degree.

Michelle and Barack also have a 25-year-old daughter named Malia. Michelle shared insight into how she and Barack navigate the dating lives of their two daughters in her 2022 book, The Light We Carry: Overcoming in Uncertain Times .

The structure her daughters lived in while growing up in the white house and the media is expressed by her. Both girls now have the freedom to live their lives without too much scrutiny.

“Socially speaking, Sasha and Malia are in that slightly wild, slightly ragtag flea-market stage of life, where new friends are exciting treasures that can be found almost anywhere,” Michelle wrote, according to GoodMorningAmerica.com .
