From high school graduations to Father's Day your schedule may be a little tight this weekend but there is plenty happening if you have a gap in your plans.

Or maybe there's something you'd like to do with dad.

If your father is into cars, then we've got good news. Maybe live music or history. You can also treat him to something sweet.

If you don't have plans yet, here's a look at five things happening in Newport County to help fill your weekend.

    Gillispalooza

King Park will be filled with the sounds of former Newport Daily News columnist Jim Gillis' favorite performers on Saturday from 2-5 p.m. at Gillispalooza.

Bring a blanket, chair and food for the concert in memory of Gillis who worked as a reporter for the Daily News for more than 30 years. When he retired in 2013, he continued writing for the paper through his weekly column, "Spare Change," up until his passing at age 64 in 2023.

A rain date of Sunday, June 16, has been scheduled if necessary.

    Tiverton Four Corners walking tours
