    See which Michigan restaurants received government grants during COVID-19 pandemic

    When the federal government opened a $28.6-billion pandemic relief fund for restaurants in May 2021, thousands of businesses around Michigan received grants.

    The Small Business Association launched the Restaurant Revitalization Fund (RRF) to help the nation’s second-largest private employer navigate the COVID-19 pandemic. The grants were designed to cover losses for a wide variety of businesses that serve food and drink, from bowling alleys to wineries.

    See below for a searchable list of every grant awarded in Michigan. A Detroit Free Press investigation found about $7 million of the grants were questionable.
