LeBron James penned an emotional tribute to NBA legend Jerry West following his passing on Wednesday.

"Will truly miss our convos dear friend!" wrote James. "My thoughts and prayers goes out to your wonderful family! Forever love Jerry! Rest in Paradise my guy!" the post continued.

In West's 14-year Hall-of-Fame career, he made the All-Star team each season and was a 10-time first-team All-NBA team member.

West played his entire career with the Los Angeles Lakers and ranks near the top in several key franchise categories. He's third all time in games played (932), third in assists (6,238) and second in points (25,192).

James joined the Lakers in 2018 and has spent the past six seasons in Los Angeles, winning the franchise's 17th NBA championship in 2020.

After James set the league's all-time scoring record last season, West praised the four-time NBA champion during an appearance on "Podcast P with Paul George."

"I think he's gotten better as a shooter, he competes his fanny off, he dominates a game, particularly when there's an open court game. ... I'm a big fan," he said.

    The feeling is mutual.
