Royal Family Shares Stunning New Photo of Prince William Walking Alone

Prince William was captured walking alone in a striking new snapshot from a recent public event.

The Prince of Wales traveled to Portsmouth, England, on June 5 to attend a commemorative ceremony for the 80th anniversary of the D-Day Landings . A photo shared on social media by the royal family shows the prince from behind as he walks on stage alone. Stage lights and a crowd await him as his tall six-foot-three frame is seen in a deep navy blue suit with the white collar of his shirt visible.

“Today we remember the bravery of those who crossed this sea to liberate Europe,” read the caption of the June 6 post. “Those who ensured that Operation Overlord was a success. And those who waited for their safe return.”

The post, which was shared from the official Instagram account of the Prince and Princess of Wales , also featured clips of William’s speech and snapshots of him interacting with those who attended.

The appearance was a special one for Prince William, as he was accompanying his father, King Charles , and Queen Camilla (who also made a fashion statement ) for the somber event. The father-son duo have not been seen together at many formal functions this year. His Majesty and the prince’s wife, Kate Middleton, have both been undergoing cancer treatments.

Looking dapper seems to be on the future King of England’s agenda these days. He looked equally as handsome as he reported for duty to host the Sovereign’s Garden Party on May 21. For the festivities, the prince donned a morning suit and a top hat, swapping out his signature navy blue suit.
