He’s looking forward to the future, but he still is remorseful about how they handled themselves during those heated times. “He wished they could have worked things out,” a source told the media outlet, but it was Baumgartner who initiated the divorce. “She didn’t really give Kevin an opportunity to try and fix things,” a second insider divulged. “It was very painful, but I believe Kevin’s moved on.” Some of the pain revolved around his ex finding love so quickly after their breakup.

Baumgartner was spotted on what she claimed was a platonic vacation with the couple’s friend Josh Connor last summer. The duo waited to officially confirm their relationship until May when TMZ photographers caught them holding hands in Montecito. “Kevin saw how fast Christine moved on , and it’s hurtful, but he’s gotten past it,” the first source shared. The exes are not friends either and communication is limited “unless it’s regarding the younger kids,” Cayden, 17, Hayes, 15, and Grace, 13.

Costner has also flirted with romance since the divorce after snuggling up with singer Jewel late last year. It’s unclear where their relationship stands now, but the 49-year-old musician did call Costner “a great person” to ELLE magazine, and added, “The public fascination is intense for sure.” They could be dating under the radar, but it seems that Costner is currently having an affair with his work amid the late June release of Horizon: An American Saga.

With $38 million of his own fortune on the line, Costner has a lot to be worried about after lukewarm reviews from critics at the Cannes Film Festival. “Kevin is still holding out hope that the final arbiter of HAASP1 will be the millions of fans who have fueled Yellowstone ‘s success over the last five years and made that show, for a time, the biggest thing on television,” an industry insider told Life & Style .
